Dear Friends and Supporters,
We hope you are anticipating the return of musical entertainment in Port Ludlow as much as we are. Not only have we missed the music, but we have missed all of you. The memories of many wonderful concerts and times together have sustained the Board of Directors (BOD) throughout this difficult year.
Even though the concerts have stopped, the BOD has continued to meet via Zoom throughout this last year. They have been working with a graphic designer to develop a new look, for PLPA, for a new and different world! We cannot tell you anything definite yet, but there are plans to roll out a wonderful 2021-2022 season line-up early this fall, unveiling our new look at this time. In addition, we are exploring a new and easier way for you to purchase concert tickets via PayPal directly from our website. We have maintained communication with various entertainment groups around the country, and they are as excited to come entertain us in Port Ludlow as we are to have them here.
There have been some personnel changes on the board this last year. Secretary, Jenise Harper, moved to Colorado to be closer to her kids, subsequently Gregg Patton turned over his outreach position over to his wife, Shelly, to become the new secretary. Cheri Gerstenberger took over as booking co-chair and Chris Spagle, ticketing chair, is moving on to other things. Tom Sprandel has agreed to take over her position as ticketing chair as well as continue as webmaster. In addition, we are adding another couple of positions to the board. The open positions are as follows:
Community Ambassador(new position): Communicates with Port Ludlow groups and businesses, promoting special events for PLPA: Serves as the PLPA liaison with donors, benefactors and underwriters, and works with a team to solicit new donors: Works with Education Outreach on grant proposals/requests.
PLPA Hospitality Co-chair: Entertainment hospitality. Coordinates culinary needs of performers and assists with hospitality for all concerts; works with the current hospitality co-chair to plan and implement special events.
